Preparing for your consultation

Facial aesthetic treatments are nonsurgical procedures designed to enhance and rejuvenate the appearance of your face. These treatments can address wrinkles, fine lines, volume loss, and skin texture issues.

Our facial aesthetics services are designed to enhance your natural beauty by reducing the lines and wrinkles that appear as signs of aging. Our ACE (Aesthetic Complications Expert) certified dentist will thoroughly assess your face to understand the underlying causes of these changes. Based on this assessment, we will recommend appropriate treatments, such as Botox and fillers, to help you achieve a more youthful appearance.

Effective preparation ensures optimal results from your consultation. Here’s how you can prepare:

  1. Understand Your Goals: Define what you want to achieve regarding wrinkle and line reduction.
  2. Medical History: Share your medical history, including any medications or allergies.
  3. Skin Care Routine: Inform us about your current skincare routine to tailor treatments to your skin’s needs.
  4. Questions and Concerns: Prepare any questions or concerns you have about our treatments.

Facial aesthetic treatments

Botox injections
Botox is a proven method to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, including forehead lines, crow's feet, and frown lines. It's a quick, minimally invasive procedure with noticeable results within days. Botox is a Prescription Only Medication (POM) and can only be offered after your initial assessment by our facial aesthetic dentist, who will determine if this is the right treatment to reduce your wrinkles and lines.
Dermal fillers
Our dermal fillers restore volume and fullness to areas such as cheeks, lips, and nasolabial folds. They provide immediate results and a natural-looking enhancement with minimal downtime.
Skin boosters
Skin boosters are injectable treatments that improve skin hydration, elasticity, and texture. They contain hyaluronic acid and enhance the skin's appearance by providing deep hydration, increasing firmness, smoothing fine lines, and giving a radiant glow.

Treatment process

1. Initial consultation - 30 mins
Our consultation process begins with a thorough discussion of your goals and an evaluation of your skin. Our aesthetic dentist will pay close attention to what your eyes are drawn to, ensuring we understand your aesthetic preferences. We listen carefully to your desires and hear out exactly what you are looking for. If necessary, we also review pictures from 5-10 years ago where you might be without makeup, helping us understand your natural appearance and how we can best help you achieve your desired look. Following this, we conduct a comprehensive assessment of your face to determine the most suitable treatment options tailored specifically for you. Your customised treatment plan will outline procedures, expected outcomes, and any necessary preparatory steps. Your dentist will give you a copy of the treatment plan, which will include the number of sessions needed and associated costs to achieve the youthful glow.
2. Patch Test - 10 mins
A patch test for Botox is a precautionary procedure to ensure you do not have an allergic reaction to the treatment. During the initial consultation, the practitioner reviews your medical history and any known allergies. The aesthetic dentist then applies a small amount of diluted Botox to a clean area of the skin, typically the forearm or behind the ear, and covers it with a bandage or patch. This test area is observed over 24-48 hours for any signs of redness, swelling, itching, or blistering. After the observation period, you return to our practice for evaluation. If there are no adverse reactions, it is generally safe to proceed with the full Botox treatment. The patch test provides peace of mind, confirming that the treatment is suitable for your skin type and ensuring a personalised and safe approach to facial aesthetic procedures. If your treatment plan only recommends hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, there is no skin test required as dermal fillers do not contain any animal-derived ingredients.
3. Treatment day - 45 mins to 1 hour
On the day of your treatment, we'll review the plan, ensuring you're comfortable and well-informed throughout the procedure. Depending on the treatment, you may receive aftercare instructions to follow at home.
4. Follow-up - 10 mins
We schedule follow-up appointments to monitor your progress and make adjustments as needed, ensuring your satisfaction and safety at every step.
