Nicola McLachlan

Nicola is a proud mum of one, and her journey in dentistry is as remarkable as her dedication to her patients. Raised in Dingwall, where she continues to live and study, Nicola initially planned a different career path but found her true calling in dental nursing. Despite having no prior experience, she quickly adapted to her role as a trainee dental nurse and discovered a passion for the field. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nicola decided to further her education and applied to UHI, where she is now in her third and final year of training to become a dental therapist.

Outside of her professional life, Nicola enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and taking long walks with her dog. Her love for the community she grew up in is evident in her work, as she finds great joy in supporting and caring for her neighbours and friends. Nicola’s hobbies and interests bring her relaxation and balance, allowing her to maintain a positive outlook both personally and professionally.

Nicola’s motivation to excel in her work comes from a desire to progress within the dental field and provide the best care possible to her patients. She believes that maintaining a happy and positive attitude significantly impacts her patient care, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for everyone she treats. Nicola’s dedication to her community, combined with her commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, makes her a valued and inspiring member of the dental practice.
